On January 4th,2010, a new policy regulating permanent representative offices (R.O.) set up by foreign enterprises was jointly issued by State Administration for Industry and Commerce of the P.R.China and The Ministry of Public Security of the P.R.China . According to this new policy, to set up a R.O. , the foreign enterprise must provide legal business operation proof for over two years and for the following year's renewal of the R.O. certificate, proof of the foreign enterprise in valid business operation shall be also provided. These two points are the new added requests comparied with past regulations.
